The future of public relations is ever-changing and needs agile and trustworthy young leaders to lead the next generation of professionals. Insider, formerly Business Insider, identified 26 of PR's rising stars from agencies and brands, choosing the honorees based on the accounts they handle and how they help their organizations' growth, culture and recruiting efforts. The result is a list that represents all aspects of the PR industry.
Among the ranks was our very own Tom Hannigan, a Senior Associate who joined Bateman Agency in February 2021. Tom hit the ground running and is already making waves and driving client results with ease, a level head, and a good sense of humor.
Bateman Agency was launched in August 2020. Tom Hannigan joined the company earlier this year from Inkhouse PR in Boston. Since joining the team, Tom transformed the agency’s culture and media relations efforts with his professionalism and determination. His strong relationships and sage counsel belie his years, leading him to become a trusted point of contact for each of his accounts. To put it simply, Tom gives our agency a good name and enables a relatively new boutique agency to punch above its weight. Hannigan, a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, got his career start in sports journalism before finding his stride in high-tech public relations.
"Within weeks of joining the agency, Tom helped Bateman clients get placed in the Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, CNBC, Reuters, Bloomberg, and every imaginable trade publication,” said CEO and Founder Fred Bateman. “He is trusted by client contacts up to and including the CEOs of solar provider SunPower, eCommerce software startup Mirakl and publicly traded New Relic. He played an active role in landing new business for Bateman Agency, most recently cyber security behemoth Thales.”
Tom exemplifies the best traits of a modern PR professional: agile, responsible, and an active role model for junior staff. We at Bateman Agency are proud to have him amongst our ranks. Read more about the award here and join us in congratulating Tom on this national recognition.
